REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS TO PROVIDE
AQUATIC PROGRAM AND FACILITY
FEASIBILITY STUDY

The Town of Canton, Connecticut, (hereafter referred to as “The Town” or “Town”), seeks an appropriate and qualified consultant to provide an aquatic program and facility feasibility study for the Mills Pond Pool, located at 10 East Hill Road, Canton, CT, 06019. The Town of Canton owns and operates a seasonal outdoor 50 Meter pool with adjacent wading pool within the Mills Pond Park complex located at 10 East Hill Rd, Canton, CT. Currently improvements to the facility are being planned to replace some aging infrastructure. The Town recently approved hiring a consultant at a cost not to exceed $12,500 to conduct a feasibility study on enclosing the Mills Pond Pool to facilitate year round aquatic programming. Two primary functions of the feasibility study are 1) determine capital cost of enclosing the pool and annual operational and 2) determine what capacity exists in the region for year round aquatic programming and the revenues to be made from the programs.
